In this issue: WeRoad, Sidereus, Divinea, WelMed, and others raised funding. Seco acquired a German IoT company. Doctolib acquired MotorK plans an IPO before the end of the year.

The Money
Strategic moves
  • Seco announced the acquisition of German Garz & Fricke, an IoT solutions provider, for €180m.
  • Doctolib acquired and unveiled a plan to invest €250m and hire 500 people in the country.
  • MotorK is planning to go public by 2021 on the Amsterdam stock exchange, raising €150m.
  • French startup Phenix acquired Myfoody.
  • Sisal, a betting and gaming company, is considering a €2b IPO on the Italian stock exchange.
  • Vedrai, an AI startup, and Motive, an IoT company, joined forces 🇮🇹founding Fermai, a predictive maintenance startup.
EIC Accelerator
  • 65 startups were assigned €363 million by the European Innovation Council, in a mix of grants and equity investments. The complete list is available here. Only two startups are from Italy: EnGenome and Voiseed.
