The Money
M&A
  • Namirial, a company offering digital trust and related software services, acquired Netheos, a French startup developing digital onboarding software, for an undisclosed amount. Namirial is a “platform company” owned by Ambienta SGR, an asset manager.
  • Gada Group, a medical devices distributor, acquired Evoluzione, another specialist distributor on the Italian market.
  • Amilon, a gift cards distributor owned by Zucchetti, acquired Amazing, the company behind Spiiky, a digital cashback wallet.
  • IBM acquired ReaQTa, a Netherlands-based endpoint security company founded by 🇮🇹Alberto Pelliccione.
Reading (and listening) this week
  • IAG, one of the biggest angel clubs in Italy, released its IAG index, based on the deals analyzed in the past 12 months by the club. Focus on fintech, ESG, and the increasing presence of women in the founding teams ✌🏻.
  • CDP Venture Capital released “Let’s Venture”, a collection of 7 brief podcasts introducing venture capital & startup concepts (🇮🇹 here’s the link to Spotify).
  • Giuseppe Donvito from P101 🇮🇹 authored an article calling for more Series B and beyond (>10m) investors in Italy.
