The Money
Vedrai, an AI startup, 🇮🇹raised €40m in a round led by Azimut.
Soul-K, a B2B food-tech startup, 🇮🇹raised €6.3m in a syndicated round led by Innogest, TAN Food srl, Levante Capital, and Alicrowd.
Insoore, an insuretech startup, raised €5.5m in a round led by Proximity Capital, joined by Lumen Ventures, Azimut Digitech Fund, and Gellify.
Wikicasa, a prop-tech startup, 🇮🇹raised €3m from existing shareholders.
Contents, a martech startup, 🇮🇹raised €1m from CDP Venture Capital.
Banca Valsabbina 🇮🇹acquired 27% of Sandbox, the maker of Fleap, a blockchain service.
Iio, a voice-tech startup incubated by FoolFarm, 🇮🇹raised €300k from a syndicate of angel investors.
Fideuram-Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking invested CHF 19m in Alpian, a Swiss digital bank.
M&A
ContactLab was acquired by Growens, the group owning MailUp, and announced it will be merged in the latter. According to the press release, Growens is paying €5m + a €6.6m earn-out; ContactLab reported a €1m EBITDA in 2021.
Accelerators, accelerators everywhere!😉
CDP Venture Capital 🇮🇹announced the launch of Next Age, a silvertech accelerator.
Baker Hughes 🇮🇹announced a partnership with Nana Bianca and Impact Hub to scout for startups in the decarbonization and energy transition markets.
Scientifica, a deep-tech VC, launched a call-for-ideas for startups in the advanced manufacturing, advanced materials, and artificial intelligence markets.
Chilling IPO markets in Q1 2022 ❄️🥶
According to a EY-Refinitiv report, global IPO markets in Q1 2022 where at the lowest levels since a couple of decades.
