The week in Italian startups - Issue #76
Ulixes SGR 🇮🇹announced a new fund and the investment of a total of €6.1m in three startups: Geoveda (a data center powered by geothermal energy), Edera Farm (a vertical farm), and Agrorobotica (developer of an IoT pest trap).
Seco announced the acquisition of German Garz & Fricke, an IoT solutions provider, for €180m.
Doctolib acquired dottori.it and unveiled a plan to invest €250m and hire 500 people in the country.
MotorK is planning to go public by 2021 on the Amsterdam stock exchange, raising €150m.
Sisal, a betting and gaming company, is considering a €2b IPO on the Italian stock exchange.
65 startups were assigned €363 million by the European Innovation Council, in a mix of grants and equity investments. The complete list is available here. Only two startups are from Italy: EnGenome and Voiseed.
