The Money

  • Skinlabo, a "smart beauty" e-commerce, 🇮🇹raised €6m from 8A+ Real innovation.

  • Credimi, a fintech startup, raised €5.6m from existing investors.

  • BKN301, a San Marino-based fintech startup, 🇮🇹announced a €3m round.

  • Mapo Tapo, a mountain-tourism startup, 🇮🇹raised €355k from a syndicate of business angels.

  • Blubrake 🇮🇹raised €1.5m from Progress Tech Transfer fund.

  • TurboAlgor, a smart fridge startup, 🇮🇹 received €650k in debt from Intesa San Paolo.

  • BottegaLigure, an e-commerce startup, 🇮🇹 raised €200k from an angel syndicate.

  • Tate, a smart utility company, 🇮🇹 raised an undisclosed Series A from Eni Gas & Luce (already a shareholder).

  • Pariter Partners, a holding company investing in deeptech, 🇮🇹invested in the Swiss startup Komp-Act.

M&A

  • Redo, an instant lending startup, 🇮🇹was acquired by OCS.

  • MegaRide 🇮🇹acquired Wriggle Solutions, a spinoff of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna that developed an innovative system for monitoring tires.

French fintech invades Italy

Qonto, a French fintech startup that just raised €486m, announced it 🇮🇹invest €100m in Italy.

Does the EIC have trouble disbursing funds?

It seems that the European Innovation Council has some issues in disbursing the funds promised to startups.

2021: a record-setting year for I3P

I3P is the incubator of the Politecnico di Torino, one of the most important Italian engineering universities. The incubator published its 2021 results: €37m raised by its portfolio of startups, more than 50 new startups created. Congrats!
