I'm writing this issue as the Crew Dragon is leaving Cape Canaveral onboard the Falcon 9. Sometimes humanity moves forward in huge, sudden leaps. This launch looks like one, exciting!Back to the Italian startup scene, this week we have seen: American tier-1 VCs investing in an Italian API startup; a retail food startup showing what "scaling up" looks like; an AI company listing on the Austrian stock exchange. But sometimes bad news come along: Uber Italy is facing a hard time, since a unit related to Uber Eats has been put under special administration with the accusation of drivers exploitation. Drivers compensation and their rights have been under the lens for quite some time now, and the surge in delivery services during the lockdown has probably exacerbated the situation. Expect more news coming this way. Now, on with this week events.
